  • Litig members are investing in O365 and continuing to develop their cloud strategies.

  • Many have a number of third-party business-critical solutions which integrate with MS Office. Litig has contacted a list of suppliers of key solutions (based on membership and usage) to understand how these solutions will integrate with O365.

  • Following a good response from suppliers, the results have been collated and published to Litig members to help with strategic planning and decision-making.

  • 87% of the key solutions provided by the targeted suppliers offer O365 integration capabilities in some form, whether 0365 on premise or in the cloud. Further, while some existing key solutions will not integrate with O365, alternatives are available.

London, UK - Litig, the Legal IT Innovators Group, has completed its research project to help members gain insight into how key solutions from third-party suppliers will integrate with O365. The results will help Litig member organisations understand how these key solutions may or may not fit with O365 plans and their wider cloud strategy.

David Wood, Litig Director and project lead said, “The project has been invaluable to members. At a high level the results indicate the majority of suppliers have tackled the O365 integration challenge one way or another. Others are catching up with new releases or, in some cases, alternative solutions. From an individual Litig member perspective, there is now a base level of information from which they can engage further with suppliers and determine what it really means for their organisations.”

Litig identified a list of key solutions by looking at what its members use within their organisations. Thirteen of the twenty-three suppliers (57%) completed the questionnaire with responses provided in relation to thirty-nine out of fifty-two solutions (75%). Of the thirty-nine solutions, thirty-four (87%) of these will integrate with O365 in some way with some requiring O365 to be on-premise. Full details of the responses are available to Litig members.

Another important output from the project is a template questionnaire and guidance notes for Litig members to use with other new and existing suppliers to understand how their solutions will work with O365. Alternatively, suppliers who want to contribute to the research can contact Litig at https://www.litig.org/contact-us.

David Aird, IT Director at international law firm DAC Beachcroft LLP said, “Having this report is a real benefit to being part of Litig. It has saved my team time and promoted consistency in how we gather this information from key suppliers. Also, having the template questionnaire and guidance notes is great – it means we can get updates from suppliers and use them when looking at new solutions.”
